Steve Warren
Steve is the author of RADIO: The Book, (Focal Press-NAB) and has been a radio professional since he was 16. He's been a radio personality in Louisville, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Tampa and New York. As program director, he's guided successful stations in Indianapolis, Dayton, Albany, Wilmington and San Antonio with diverse music formats like Top 40, AC, Oldies, Country, MOR, Classical and News/Talk.
He developed all five country music channels for Sirius Satellite Radio and was the first voice ever on Sirius, eventually hosting more than 100 interviews in all types of music or entertainment.
As an M.C. he's hosted events at Radio City, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. Since 1994, he is heard nationwide on "The Country Oldies Show" from Envision Radio Network and has appeared in movies, TV and theatre.
Steve was an instructor at the International Academy of Broadcasting in Switzerland and has advised many international broadcasters. He serves as executive producer of Chinamerica Hit Radio, the first fulltime Internet station of contemporary Pop-Chinese hits for Chinese and English-speaking listeners.
In the late 1990's, as editor of Radio Ink Magazine, Steve was a prolific interviewer of industry leaders and broadcasting group heads. He now travels around the country hosting programming events for state broadcasting associations, universities and corporate clients.
Interests include cooking, travel, live theatre and a few seasonal sports. He lives two blocks from Times Square and can give the best tour of New York City you could ever hope for.
