NABEF reinforces its mission of providing broadcasters with superior leadership and career development through our education programs and events. We offer fellowship programs and targeted programs aimed at increasing diversity in broadcasting, and we highlight the community service efforts of broadcasters with our annual Celebration of Service to America Awards.
Leadership Education
NABEF is a one-stop source of education and training for the broadcasting industry. We offer a number of programs targeted to broadcasters from entry level positions through station ownership. In addition, we have programs and events geared toward attracting talent to the broadcasting industry, as well as programs that target students interested in entering into the broadcast industry.
In 2011, NABEF renewed its focus on providing the best education in leadership, management and career development for the broadcast industry. Three new initiatives have been created to help us achieve this goal: the NABEF University Initiative, the Technology Apprenticeship Program and the Leadership Development Program. Highlighting Community Service
Broadcasters have long played a critical role in addressing the issues and social concerns of their local communities. Each year the value of public service that radio and television stations generate exceeds $10 billion.
NABEF advocates community service efforts of broadcasters and their communities. NABEF's prestigious event, the Celebration of Service to America Awards, recognizes and encourages outstanding community service by broadcasters and their community partners.
